I am a Landlord of a property in the nearby area and this has proved as a great investment. The vicinity of the tube station and its connection to the Jubilee Line is a major added value to the area to people like myself. Rotherhithe has a very spacial feel to it - it is safe and clean. Many houses are wharf, warehouse and fire stations conversion - my favourite are the Lawrence Wharf next to Hilton Docklands as well as the Caledonian Wharf in Downtown Rotherhithe. The City Farm is a treasure and it makes the whole area so much more suburban. The riverside walkways and the Downtown area make it a favourite for families as well as couples seeking a bit of peace and quite from the hassle and bustle of the work life.
